NAUSS TIM-BR MART LUMBERJACKS DROP TWO ON ROAD
The weekend road trip was not kind to the Nauss Tim-Br Mart Lumberjacks. In Amherst Saturday night the host Ramblers dropped the Lumberjacks 4-2. Mickey MacDonald & Matt Shannon scored for the Lumberjacks who outshot the Ramblers 28-25. Travis Hall was in nets for the Lumberjacks. On Sunday it was all Summerside as they whitewashed the Lumberjacks 8-0. Summerside outshot the Lumberjacks 34-23 with Philip Wright facing the Summerside wrath. Over the two games the Lumberjacks went 1-16 on the power-play, a problem that has plagued the Lumberjacks since the start of the season. The next action for the Jacks is this weekend when they travel to Summerside to participate in the MJAHL Showcase Tournament. Each MJAHL team plays two games, one that counts as a home game and one that counts as an away game. On Friday the Lumberjacks host the Miramichi Timbervolves and then visit the Halifax Lions for a Saturday game. All games will be played at the Credit Union Place Wellness Centre in Summerside.
