FIRST PLACE BEARCATS EDGE LUMBERJACKS 5-3
The Nauss Tim-Br Mart Lumberjacks played the Bent Division leading Truro Bearcats even for over two periods, thanks in part to a strong performance by Lumberjacks netminder Travis Hall. Jordan Burke & Jeff Marchand scored in the first period to send the teams to the first intermission tied at two. Mike Snow's goal in the second sent the teams to the second intermission tied at three. Yuri Cheremetiev scored the winner for Truro and added an empty net goal to seal the win. Travis Hall turned aside 42 shots in the Lumberjacks net. Jordan Burke was the game's second star. The Lumberjacks return to action Thursday night when they travel to New Glasgow to tangle with the Crushers and then return home for a Friday night game against the Woodstock Slammers and a Sunday afternoon tilt with the Miramichi Timberwolves.
